Zenn Doggi

This page is dedicated to my first dog, Zee Zee.

Why do I have dog stuff everywhere? Well, first of all, I love dogs.  They have saved me from myself, protected me from danger, and most significantly, they have taught me Unconditional Love and Acceptance.  I learned the Simplicity of Life by observing them over the years.

When I was able to “retire”, I decided to volunteer for a Dog Rescue full time.  I went into it thinking I can save the World, make a difference, and save Lives.  Little did I know that they ended up being my little Earth Angels and taught me so much about Life.  I think that’s where I experienced my initial Awakening.  For that, I’m eternally grateful.

So, how did I arrive at the name Zenn Doggi?  Well, I thought having 2 N’s in Zenn went along with my name Jenn.  I just thought it was the coolest xhit ever!  LOL  Yes, little things amuse me.  At one point, I had “Zenn Doggy” listed in my main menu on this website.  Well, somehow having “Zenn Doggy” pushed the menu into 2 lines instead of 1.  I didn’t like it.  Figured out real quick that changing the Y into an I made it fit.  “GENIUS!” I said to self…hey, celebrate every tiny Success.  Who else is going to do it if you don’t take the lead right?

There’s no secret I have 8 dogs at home.  Some of them were returned many times from new adopted families.  I used to think they were “damaged” but quickly learned that they all have their special skills.

Ceasar Millan said it best “You don’t choose your dog, your dog chooses you…”

Abbi- Represents Love and Acceptance.  I used to worry for her when she would shake uncontrollably with some people and growl big time like she was about to be attacked.  Now I know that she was giving warnings.  She turns her head away from the person if she senses Self-Hatred.  And when you need some lovin’, she’s the first one who will sit next to you and cuddle.  She’s the little Love Bug.

Shammie- Grounding force Detector of our pack.  Nothing really bothers Shammie.  He was hit by a car and a little stiff in his hips.  He will overeat when the Pack is not quite aligned with the Universal Energy.  He will only come up to you for affection when you’re aligned. Otherwise, he will roam around and mind his own business.

Angelo- He’s the most affectionate dog but can get very dog aggressive and jealous of other dogs.  He’s been returned many times.  What I figured out with Angelo is that he’s truly an Angel on Earth.  He’s got so much love to give, tender with babies and people, if he puts his Ego aside not form Separation.  He gets along great with other dogs in this house now.  I think he’s getting the idea!  =)

Angie- A Reflection of disconnection and fear.  If Dave and I are disconnected, she will growl at Dave and be on guard.  If we have major fear going on in the house, she will go hide.  She barks at those who are angry or fearful. Very interesting to watch her work.

Walter- He’s the Reflection of Routine, Consistency, and Loyalty.  He’s 18 years old and blind.  I can even say that he’s a Reflection of Denial.  I remember once I was very worried about Life in general, he got an eye infection.  You can call in coincidence, but when things happen over and over again I take it as a Universal sign and message. He simply doesn’t want to see what’s around him.

Mimi- She represents Intimacy to me.  She runs away from people but wants you to come back when you’re away.  She cries for you yet she doesn’t want to go near you when you’re around.  Quite funny!  I didn’t understand her for the longest time.  But I realized that I was afraid of fully loving people for fear of rejection and judgment.  And I was very afraid of being loved because I didn’t know what “conditions” I had to agree to in order to be loved.  Very interesting that as soon as I realized that, Mimi started coming up to me more and more. Another one full of love but not quite sure how to show it.

Chapps- My Reflections of Spirituality.  He’s extremely in tuned with Energy.  He’ll only come up to you if you feel good about life.  I’m not quite sure how to describe him.  At first, he seems disoriented and not sure what to do in this physical world.  Yet you know he’s a very sensitive loving Soul but on guard all the time.  As I’m more aligned on a regular basis, he’s coming out of his shell playing with other dogs (he used to sit in his corner).  He’ll roll on his back on the lawn and toss his toys in the air and catch it…like there’s not a care in the world.  When there are negative energy around the house, he will alert us.  At first, we thought he was barking at the air, but quickly learned that the boy’s got special talents- sensing the unseen.

Rickee- Rick is a Miniature Pinscher Mix.  He was found on a construction site and couldn’t walk due to malnutrition.  I believe because of it, he’s bones  are deformed.  He’s my little trooper.  Not only has he gradually built up the strength to walk again over the years, he overcame his mistrust with humans and learned to love.  He’s my little security alarm.  I noticed he’s more protective when I don’t feel safe (physically and mentally).  He’s also extremely in tuned with Energy and seems to be able to read your mind.  He used to bite me and no one else.  I mistook him as being aggressive.  Little did I know they were warnings to me that I was about to have an anxiety attack.  Rickee “trained” me out of my anxiety attacks when he first joined the pack.  Quite incredible how he can do this.  One of these days I will share with him how to “alert” properly with anxiety attacks.  LOL
